Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield claims that the club ‘can’t look too far ahead’ in what will be a ‘busy’ period for the Chairboys.

His side will play four times in 10 days which includes two away trips at Burton Albion and Bristol Rovers respectively.

And after picking up his first point as Wanderers boss in the 1-1 home draw against Exeter City on March 4, Bloomfield is remaining positive that Wycombe can still achieve a place in the top six.

The Adams Park club, who host Fleetwood Town tomorrow evening, sit in seventh place on 54 points – six points off the play-off places.

Speaking after the draw against Exeter, he said: “We have got a really busy couple of weeks coming up, so it’s all about entering each game with the care that it deserves and needs.

“Our preparation starts now [March 4] as different oppositions will have different threats and we need to be mindful of that.

“Fleetwood are a good side, and we know that made some signings in January.

“We know what their strengths are but we will look at that in-depth closer to the game.

“We can’t look too far ahead, and we just have to deal with what is in front of us, and we know that we will have another tough game on Tuesday evening.
