Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield believes the Chairboys’ play-off push is still achievable despite a heavy 4-0 loss away at Ipswich Town.
The defeat, which is the club’s heaviest of the season so far, has left them five points off the top six with six matches of the season left.
However, up next is Forest Green Rovers on Easter Monday, and the 39-year-old is hoping his players will be able to respond in front of the Adams Park faithful.
Matt Bloomfield: “I think we’ve lost to the best team in the division. I was pleased with some parts early on but after we fell behind, they really kicked on. We look at ourselves to judge what we need to do better. If we want to do anything this year, it has to start on Monday.”

He said: “The boys care about the club, and they care about what happens between now and the end of the season.
“They want to achieve great success and that’s why they were so dejected at the end.
“These are the days that really test us because it’s easy to go along with everything when things go your way.
“It’s when the chips are down – that’s when you really start to learn about yourself.
“We need to turn up on Monday against Forest Green and show all the enthusiasm for a team that wants to get into the play-offs.

“The time is now.
“The time has come to show what we can do and Ipswich away was not going to defy our season.
“It’s the way we react from Ipswich away that will define our season.
“We need to make sure that we’re ready for Monday as we’re right in it, but we can’t keep talking about it – we need to do it.
“And this starts against Forest Green on Monday.”

In their first-ever season in the third tier, Forest Green are currently bottom of the table on 26 points – making them the only team in the division to not reach the 30-point mark.
They have also scored the least goals (29), conceded the most goals (74), have the worst goal difference (-45), have lost the most games (26), won the fewest games (six), and are 13 points from safety with 18 left to play for.
