Weekly Hash

The Hash House Harriers - "drinkers with a running problem" - meet every Tuesday at a local pub (normally within a 10-mile radius of HW town centre) and go for a run, seeking out a trail that has been previously laid by one of their number. They are mixed ability and welcome anyone regardless of fitness. No-one gets left behind, and they all end up back at the pub for a post-run drink.

Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Giant Jumble Sale

Temporary buildings full of donated goods have been emptied ready for a large jumble sale being held by Stokenchurch Dog Rescue. It will include new and nearly new clothes, household goods, bric a brac, toys, books, furniture, DVDs, CDs, greetings cards, plants - and more. Proceeds will help save dogs' lives and find them good new homes. If weather is bad the sale may be postponed until the following Saturday. This is the charity's last monthly sale this year but they will resume on the last Saturday of the month early in 2015. Volunteers are wanted to help set up and man tables at this week's sale. The indoor market, organised by Transition Town Marlow, is a hub for local producers and provides local customers with a good deal.
