A consultation has been launched to help gauge public opinion on a proposed change of premises and boost in opening hours for Chesham's Post Office.

There are plans for the Post Office to move from its current location near The Broadway to 93 High Street, which used to be Clinton Cards.

If the move goes ahead, the premises will be fully refurbished and will provide an open plan branch with longer opening hours.

The Post Office wants feedback on how suitable and easy to access the new premises are, as well as whether any community issues will be affected by the move.

Opening hours would remain 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, but would be extended to 9am to 5.30pm on Saturdays in the new premises. There will be four serving positions, two of which will be screened and two will be open plan.

You can share your views through the Post Office's online questionnaire at postofficeviews.co.uk and entering the branch code 12910299. The consultation ends on March 31 and the move, if it goes ahead, will take place during May or June this year.
