Hazlemere Parish Councillors have elected a new chairman and vice chairman to lead them for the next year.
Cllr Milly Roberts, the previous vice chairman, was nominated for the role at the annual parish meeting at Cedar Barn last night (Tuesday).
Previous chairman, cllr Alex Slater, was also nominated for the role again, but his vote for cllr Roberts swayed the poll in her favour.
Cllr Jane Baker will also take over the role of vice chairman of the council for 2016/17 and took the opportunity to pay tribute to the former chair for his work over the past year.
She said: “Can I give a vote of thanks to our retiring chair. At a time of crisis and slight angst, he has really steadied the ship.”
