A village milkman was attacked by a group of boys while delivering milk late at night.
The 51-year-old victim was on his rounds in Chinnor High Street when he was approached and assaulted by the gang at about 12.10am on Monday, July 11.
The boys kicked his legs, forcing him to the ground before they continued to kick him in the head.
Investigating officer, Insp Mark Harling said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information that could help with our investigation.”
Four boys, aged between 14 and 17, have been arrested in connection with the assault and released on police bail until August 16.
The milkman did not require hospital treatment.
