Detectives are investigating after a late night town centre raid at a popular Gerrards Cross supermarket.

An ATM from Waitrose in Station Road has been taken, according to the manager of neighbouring Café Rouge, and a Waitrose spokesman has confirmed there has been an incident at the branch which is now a “police issue”.

The spokesman also confirmed the supermarket is open for business, but was unable to release any more details because of the investigation.

Thames Valley Police has been contacted for more information.
