The ‘Metroland’ town with close links to central London beat Marlow, Haddenham and Great Missenden.

Muddy Stilettos praised Amersham for its independent shopping, eating and culture offerings – without forgetting a shout out to property in the area.

Properties of all kinds sold last year in Amersham had an average price of £816,111, according to Rightmove.

Semi-detached properties fetched £751,716 on average, but majority of house sales in Amersham were detached properties.

Prices last year were up 12 percent from 2021, which suggests Amersham’s continuous popularity.
