A CAMPAIGN looking to raise money to deliver food to people in need has launched for the fourth year running.

Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge set up the Meals for Marlow charity during the first coronavirus pandemic alongside Chris Hughes from Pub in the Park, and Andy Agar.

The charity took off having raised more than £260,000, delivering more than 130,000 meals to key workers and people in crisis.

For a fourth year running, Meals for Marlow are hoping to "feed as many as possible" by delivering 600 meals a week, but they need £100,000 to do so.

To help reach the target, tickets for the town's Pub in the Park are on sale.

Tom Kerridge said: "Whilst 100,000 meals is beyond all that we expected to achieve when we set up Meals From Marlow last year, we haven’t finished yet, and will continue to support those in need in our community and our amazing NHS staff going forward.

"My genuine thanks to all of you who rolled up your sleeves and got stuck in with the project as well as all of those who supported with their generous donations. It’s great to see what we can achieve when we all work together!

"So many people have demonstrated such commitment to the project, we are all truly humbled.

"Here’s to the next 100,000."

In 2021, Tom Kerridge was handed an 'outstanding industry contribution' award by the National Restaurant Awards 2021 for his work with Meals for Marlow.

Meals for Marlow wrote on their fundraising page: "Meals from Marlow was started during the pandemic, almost three years ago, by Tom Kerridge, Pub in the Park, and Andy Agar.

"So far we've raised just over £370,000 and delivered 190,000 meals to key workers, and those in need, in Marlow and the surrounding towns such as High Wycombe, Slough & Bracknell.

"Our plan for year four is to continue supporting those in need of a helping hand. With the cost of living crisis rife across the UK, there is more work to be done than ever.

"We want to raise as much money as possible, to feed as many as possible - each meal costs £3. We will be hosting a series of fundraisers to contribute towards this total as part of a campaign from now until it climaxes on the weekend of the 19th May at Pub in the Park Marlow.

"If you're able to, please donate via this page to help us achieve our goal."
