Great Missenden has officially been named Buckinghamshire’s most stylish place to live according to a recent survey.

Conducted by one of the UK’s leading furniture companies, Furniturebox, the business asked those related to the county what areas within the region impressed them the most.

It concluded that the town, which has a population of around 9,960, came out on top due to its ‘beauty of buildings, ‘the stunning scenery’ and ‘its popularity with artists and as a filming location.’

Other areas within Buckinghamshire that were high up on the list included Long Crendon which came second, Fingest in third, Aston Clinton in fourth, and Beaconsfield in fifth.

Additionally, Great Missenden came in 37th place on the national list whilst Lavenham in Suffolk was ranked as the most stylish place to live in the UK.

A Furniturebox spokesperson said: “Great Missenden is the most stylish place to live in Buckinghamshire.

“Any of the Bucks locations voted by residents would have been worthy winners and show why it is such a stylish county, loved by artists, filmmakers, and tourists worldwide.

“It is interesting how many of the most stylish locations were not the most affluent places in their locality.

“Good style can be achieved whatever your budget and what marks out Bucks' most stylish places is how they all have a timeless quality achieved over generations by the stylish people living there.

“That same sense of style is true with furniture and having a good eye for the right piece for your home is far more important than how much money you spend.”
