PASSENGERS are being told to expect "severe delays" as Bucks is set to be hit with more train strikes next week.

Members of the ASLEF union representing train drivers at Chiltern Railway are planning another nationwide strike between Monday, July 3 and Saturday, July 8.

Chiltern Railway is advising passengers to check their journeys and plan ahead during the strike.

Additionally, due to planned engineering works, the railway is closed between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury from midnight to 5am (Tuesday - Friday). During this period, rail replacement buses will operate as follows:

  • Princes Risborough - Monks Risborough - Little Kimble - Aylesbury.

Services are most likely to be reduced to hourly in off-peak periods with cancellations during the morning and evening peaks.

Some first and last trains may also be cancelled.

Wembley Stadium will not be served on Saturday, July 8, Chiltern has said.

Customers headed to the first week of Wimbledon should expect services to be especially busy and should allow extra time for their journeys.

The RMT union has also called nationwide strike action for three dates next month: Thursday, July 20, Saturday, July 22, and Saturday, July 29.

Passengers should expect severe disruption to train services on these dates and may wish to consider changing travel plans now if possible.
