Nando's has commented rumours about a new restaurant in a Bucks town's high street.
Nando’s fans became hopeful the restaurant was coming to Chesham after a mystery Google listing appeared online.
The listing showd the chircken restaurant Nando's was located at 48-52 High Street at the former M&Co building, which shut in the spring.
Chesham residents asked on OurChesham Facebook group if the rumours were true.

St Mary’s ward councillor Wilford Augustus said he hadn’t heard anything about Nando’s plans, but it would be “a welcome surprise” if they decided to open on the high street.
Now Nando’s has dispelled the rumours.
A Nando’s spokesperson said: “Kudos to that Nando’s fan for creating a fake Google Maps listing. It is great to hear that there is a call for our PERi-PERi vibes in Chesham, we are always looking for prospective new restaurant sites, so never say never!”
