Popular reality TV series Married at First Sight UK is returning with a bang – and a contestant from a familiar postcode.

The series, which shows couples making a lifelong commitment to each other, sight unseen, after being matched by dating experts Melanie Schilling, Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas, will return for its longest runtime to date at 36 episodes on Monday, September 18.

It will also feature a 26-year-old from Bucks looking to find true love via unconventional means.

Paul, an Account Manager from Chesham describes himself as “a true socialite with a zest for life and adventure” and told the show’s producers that he is looking to meet somebody with a similar outlook on life.

Admitting that he has made “many attempts” to have a proper relationship but nothing has seemed to stick, Paul is hoping that a stint on reality TV will change his luck.

The Chesham native said he leads an “extremely” active lifestyle, regularly playing football, boxing and going to the gym.

He is reportedly “determined to tackle the experiment head-on” in a bid to meet his one-true soulmate after being “failed” by conventional dating methods.

After the singles have been matched with a partner by the dating experts, their love is put to the test by embarking on a “luxurious” honeymoon before moving in with each other alongside their fellow castmates.

With cameras following the newlyweds, as they attempt to cohabit while mingling with the other contestants at weekly dinner parties and commitment ceremonies, there is sure to be no shortage of drama – especially in the culminating episode, when each couple must decide whether they want to re-commit to their spouse or go their separate ways forever.

Married At First Sight UK will kick off on Monday, September 18 at 9pm on E4.
