A run attracting hundreds of people is set to return soon in Buckinghamshire countryside.

The Frieth Hilly race is returning for the 14th time through the Chiltern Hills woodland and country roads.

The annual run is a familiar sight in the village as the parents at Frieth CEC School have organised it for more than ten years.

Around 250 runners are expected to tackle the 5k or 10k route on Sunday, October 15, with all proceeds going directly to the school to boost the children’s learning, including IT equipment, forest school and sports activities.

The race attracts all levels of runners ranging from first-time parents to triathlon club members.

To support the runners, the school choir will sing their favourite songs halfway around the course at the junction of the two distances.

There will be refreshments, a BBQ, a bag drop, onsite parking and medals and prizes for the runners.
