Foodies in Bucks are spoiled for choice when it comes to cozy pubs.

The popular lifestyle blog Muddy Stilettos has now named the best pub roasts in the UK to help diners decide where to head for a Sunday treat.

The award-winning bistro pub and wine bar on Spittal Street serves its Sunday roast of premium beef with spiced carrot, roasties, greens and a Yorkshire pudding for £26.50.

Diners can pair the roast with rare and fine wines found on the extensive wine selection with over 300 wines from more than 40 countries.

Nags Head, Great Missenden

The 15th century, award-winning pub made the list for its Sunday lunch with “plenty of options” for around £20 each.

The family-run pub in the village known for the Roald Dahl Museum offers Bedfordshire top side of beef, English Pork and British lamb or salt baked celeriac and halibut “if you fancy something a little different,” the blog said.

The picturesque pub can be spotted in Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox film.

The Griffin, Amersham

The sleek restaurant in the heart of Old Amersham has a curated road menu to match the trendy interior “with endless photo ops,” Muddy Stilettos said.

The pork or slow cooked lamb roasts cost £27 while the aged ribeye and glazed beef cheek roast is £28, while the veggie option of roast squash and goat cheese is £20.

All roasts come with potatoes, hispi cabbage, smoked nuts and seeds, glazed carrots, cheesy beans and Yorkshire pudding.

The “well-known hotspot” books up to a month in advance, the lifestyle blog warned.
