AN AMERSHAM boy is the star of this year’s global LEGO Christmas TV advert.

The children's advert has been released today, with Theo Chow, aged 7, the centre of the story.

The campaign ‘celebrates Play is Your Superpower', where kids can unlock confidence, creativity and communication through creative experimentation.

It features Theo and six other youngsters from around the globe. The advert intends to spotlight the scarcity of creative progress resulting from increased electronic use among young children.

In a benevolent gesture, LEGO invites children to 'Build a heart and share', followed by #BuildToGive.

With every shared heart creation, LEGO pledges to gift a LEGO set to a child needing play this festive period.

Already a seasoned child model, Theo's impressive career features prominent roles in other international promotions, including Esprit, McDonald's Fun Football, and Catwalk at London Fashion Week.

Lego Group chief product and marketing officer, Julia Goldin said: “For over 90 years, the Lego Group has unleashed creativity and imagination in kids.

"We believe that creative experimentation through play helps unlock ‘superpowers’ – such as confidence, creativity and communication – and that these skills benefit children for a lifetime.

“For our Holiday campaign this year, we wanted to show that Lego play can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary, enabling children to reimagine and rebuild their world through play. What better thing to gift than the superpower of play?”
