Police dispersed rough sleepers and cleared away tents and mattresses from an underpass in Buckinghamshire after receiving reports of antisocial behaviour and drug use.

Thames Valley Police has released images of before and after a clean-up operation that took place in an underpass between Paul’s Row and Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe, showing the removal of several tents, a mattress and chairs from the walkway.

The force said it had received “increased reports of antisocial behaviour, drug use and criminality” being committed by rough sleepers in the underpass and utilised powers under the Antisocial Behaviour Crime and Policing Act to tackle the problem.
