A GoFundMe page has been launched in memory of a Chesham man who has recently died.

The page was created on Monday, March 11 after it was revealed that Tim Baldwin, who was known in the area, passed away on March 9.

All the money raised from the page will be used to pay for Mr Baldwin’s funeral.

He leaves behind his wife Emma, two children Keiran & Jaime and sisters Dawn and Tina.

An excerpt from the page reads: “Tim was a wonderful father, husband, brother and a friend to so many of us.

“He touched the lives of those around him and was such a great pillar of our community.

“Tim dedicated his life to always finding time to do what he loved and be with the ones who meant most to him.

“If he wasn’t spending time with family & friends or by the fishing lakes, he was playing darts.

“Tim would be the first person to offer a helping hand in any situation, and it’s because of this that he leaves such a big hole in our hearts.

“We are all devastated by Tim’s loss and the family were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service.

“We want to give Tim the memorial he deserves, to honour his memory and say our last goodbyes.

“On behalf of the family, I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Tim’s funeral and any further support for the family in this heartbreaking time.

“The loved ones of Tim are incredibly grateful for any donations and support we can offer.

“Any amount will truly help the family during this difficult time.”

A goal of £10,000 has been set with the current total standing at £8,855.

Additionally, Chesham United Football Club will honour Tim at the club’s next home match on March 16.

The Generals take on AFC Totton in a Southern League Premier Division South fixture.
