A man has been banned from driving for a year after being caught behind the wheel with traces of cocaine in his system.

Christopher Johnson, 32, of The Brow, Chalfont St Giles, was stopped by police at Gerrards Cross on May 17 last year.

He was tested for drugs, and traces of benzoylecgonine - a cocaine by-product - were detected in his system.

On November 27 last year, the defendant appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court.

There, he was disqualified from driving for a year, and handed a £120 fine.

In addition, he must pay £85 in court costs, and a £48 victim surcharge.
