An alarming surge in dangerous roadside activity has led to multiple arrests in South Buckinghamshire this week.

Thames Valley Police officers have been focusing on road safety due to numerous reports related to the a Fatal Four operation.

In High Wycombe, police responded to a driver who was striking kerbs and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Upon their arrival, the driver failed the roadside breath test.

"Not only did they fail the roadside breath test but some further checks revealed that they also had no licence or insurance!", confirmed the officers.

"Almost three times over the limit, the driver was charged with all three offences; the vehicle was seized."

   
Officers, while on patrol in Amersham, were tailgated and overtaken by a driver who ignored the 30mph speed limit.

Blue lights in their mirror soon put a stop to it and the driver was issued with a formal warning under Section 59 Police Reform Act for careless and anti-social driving, it was reported.

Furthermore, after a report of suspicious activity around a car in Iver, the vehicle was located and arrests were made.

The occupants were both found to be heavily intoxicated.

"The suspected driver failed the roadside breath test, was arrested and later charged for drink driving after blowing over 145ug in custody," officers at the scene revealed.
