Someone was left hungry after police officers seized the uninsured car of a food delivery driver - before they could complete their order.

Police officers seized the car for having no insurance after spotting it in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, on Thursday night, April 4.

The vehicle's driver, who worked for the food delivery service Just Eat, had two bags of food in his backseat before he was stopped and reported for uninsured driving.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police's Milton Keynes' force said the driver initially "tried to take an (insurance) policy out at the roadside and trick the officers".

He failed to convince them, however, and one unlucky person ended up going without their dinner.

The spokesperson took to Thames Valley Police's Facebook page to "apologise" to whoever it was that "didn't receive their fast food order" on Thursday night.

At least justice was served, if nothing else!
