Chalfont St Peter’s Jolly Farmer will be hosting a celebratory reopening after an extraordinary £450,000 refurbishment.

The grand reopening is set for 5pm on Friday, May 17, with an exciting line up including tractors, farmers, live music, micro pigs and more.

The Jolly Farmer on Gold Hill West saw a significant transformation during the refurbishment with the addition of 36 new seats in the extended dining room, a renovated bar area and an inviting terrace perfect for al fresco dining and drinking.

All these renovations are infused with the Heartwood Inns’ signature warm and quirky style.

The grand reopening day is expected to draw many people from Chalfont St Peter and neighbouring villages.

A vintage tractor visiting the villages will bring goodie bags, samples from local businesses including Chiltern Brewery and Amersham Gin, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The pub, which is marking its eighth year in Chalfont St Peter, plans to offer 50 signature cheese soufflés to their first 50 customers on the day.

The Jolly Farmer, part of Heartwood Inns, carries a top 3-star rating from The Sustainable Restaurant.

The pub will serve a seasonal, sustainable menu to complement the warm weather.

Also, the pub has put together an impressive drinks and wine list for visitors to sample.

General Manager John Adam said: "We are very excited to see our gorgeous new look and can’t wait to welcome guests back through our doors when we reopen on the 17th May.

"With everything we have planned for the reopening, we’ll have a "jolly" good time!".

He added that everyone who dines in the first two weeks following the reopening will be treated to a glass of fizz, provided they sign up on the Jolly Farmer's database.

The reopening celebrations are planned to go on for a week and will include a "Paws in the Pub" dog walk event, meeting the micro pigs, weekly quiz nights, and the return of Steak Night.

In addition, on Saturday evenings, the pub will offer live music with new acts announced each week.

Children can also dine for free the entire day on  May 20, adding more joy to the festivities.

The Jolly Farmer in Chalfont St Peter is ready with a warm, refurbished space to serve locals and visitors alike.

With an exciting line-up of events and a refreshing menu sourcing from local businesses, the pub is set to make its grand reopening an event to remember.
