DESPITE falling to 30-6, High Wycombe CC beat Harefield on Saturday thanks to a stunning bowling display from Jonathan Burden.
High Wycombe were in dire trouble after Gavin Baker, Alex Morgan, Saif Zaib, Cameron Parsons, Matt Eyles and David Cranfield-Thompson all fell for single figures.
George Russell (20), Adam Dobb (41) and James Benning (25) hauled them up to 121 all out in 30 overs, and that proved more than enough once Burden got going.
He ripped through the order to finish with match-winning figures of 7-20 inside ten overs, with Gavin Baker supporting him with 3-22.
They finish their season at home to Slough.
Meanwhile, Gerrards Cross' survival hopes will go to the wire after the bottom three teams all lost at the weekend.
They trail Harefield by three points and Aston Rowant by nine points.
Cross host Oxford in their final match of the season.
