High Wycombe judo coach Bill Nobbs retired last week after 50 years of service to the sport.
Nobbs took charge of his last session on December 19 at Wycombe Judo Centre having recently been awarded his fifth Dan – one of the highest awards you can gain in judo – for his outstanding commitment to the club.
As one of the founder members of the club Nobbs helped to build the centre and was present as Prince Phillip formally opened it in 1987.
Nobbs has coached at the club and taken on the role of director ever since the centre opened its doors but has now taken the decision to retire after years of dedicated service to the sport.
