Sam Saunders looks set to play a part in Wanderers’ play-off campaign after tweeting that he is set to return to the club.
The 31-year-old missed Wycombe’s final day victory against Northampton at Sixfields through injury and an earlier tweet revealed he had been back at parent club Brentford receiving treatment.
Both Saunders and fellow Bees loanee Nico Yennaris, who scored his first career goal on Saturday, were set to return to west London before the play-offs began.
Neither Blues or Brentford have yet to confirm officially that an extension to the pairs’ deals has been agreed, but Saunders’ tweet looks to have revealed that he will be able to play a part against Plymouth in the semi-final first leg on Saturday.
The midfielder has played 11 times for the club since signing on loan in February and has scored two goals so far.
Now looking forward to going back to WWFC some massive play off games coming up, and I know the fines master @stefcraig has missed me.

Been a good 10 days being back at BFC getting treatment, fantastic achievement so far from the lads, hope they can get the job done ❤️
