WYCOMBE Wanderers will play Championship side Brentford in their first pre-season friendly of the summer the club has confirmed.
The match will take place at Adams Park on Tuesday, July 19 and will kick-off at 7.45pm.
The clubs have enjoyed a fruitful relationship in the past with Sam Saunders, Nico Yennaris and Alfie Mawson spending productive loan spells at Adams Park last season.
Current Chairboys defender, Aaron Pierre, was also a member of the Brentford youth squad set-up before joining Wanderers in 2014.
The Bees will be the club’s first opponents in the UK ahead of the 2016/17 campaign a club statement confirmed, and the match comes three days before the Chairboys play Queens Park Rangers at home.
Wycombe are also due to take on Maidenhead United on Saturday, July 30 before Gareth Ainsworth’s men start their League Two campaign a week later.
Ticket information for the match will be announced in due course.
