Hampshire seamer Gareth Andrew will make his Unicorns Championship Eastern Division debut on Sunday after joining Bucks for the remainder of the campaign.

The 32-year-old has represented Hampshire since 2003, taking 232 wickets in 91 first-class matches, before making the shift to playing primarily one-day cricket.

Bucks have started their campaign in stop start fashion with one draw and one defeat in their first two games, and team manager Jason Harrison believes Andrew will have a positive impact.

He said: “Gareth will be a most useful acquisition for Bucks and will add experience to what is a young squad.”

Andrew has represented Hants in two T20 matches in the past week and claimed 1-9 in their recent five-wicket defeat to Essex last Friday.

Sunday’s match against Cumberland could provide Bucks with a chance to pick up their first win of the season against a team who are also without a victory in 2016.

The match will feature a number of players from Bucks’ local sides as three High Wycombe players are included in the selection.

Spinner Usman Amjaid is joined by Jonathan Burden and George Russell, while Chesham’s Jason Rance is also involved.

Daniel Hampton, who plays for Gerrards Cross, completes the local involvement in the match.
