It was a mixed weekend for High Wycombe in the Superleague Darts as they recorded a win and a defeat from their two matches.
Their B team produced the far better darts as they took on Aylesbury Warriors, with Steve McLeod and Paul Farnes being particularly impressive.
McLeod got the ball rolling for Wycombe as he hit a 180 and threw an outshot of 155 to set them on their way to the 4-3 win.
His efforts were eclipsed by man of the match Farnes though, and he produced some excellent darts in his match.
He hit two maximums and a 156 outshot as well as throwing a stunning 15 dart leg on his way to averaging 28.23.
The pairs’ victories allowed Gary Price to finish off Warriors as he held his nerve to edge the last leg of the final match.
It was a less successful weekend for High Wycombe’s A team, who went down to a humbling 6-1 loss to Aylesbury Titans.
Dan Anstiss provided the only positive of a bleak display for Wycombe as he scored a maximum on his way to winning his match.
